Herman Bryant Taylor hails from the small town of Columbus, MS. Even though he is from a small town he is a man with big dreams, a big heart, and an even bigger vision.
Herman is a third-generation master barber stylist. His grandmother, Annie Bailey began her journey as a hairstylist. Many years later, her daughter Carol went to school and became a licensed cosmetologist as well.
In 2006, as a sixth-grader, he started cutting his own hair. He soon discovered his niche. Like his father Herman Jr, he later became one of the leading barbers in his hometown. In 2018, Herman took a leap of faith and started his own business – Hair by Herman.
Soon after, he moved to Nashville, TN, where he has had the pleasure to style GMA Dove Award-nominated Maranda Curtis. Since moving to Nashville, many doors have been opened for him to demonstrate his craft to the world. His gift has allowed him to travel to Toronto, Canada; Orlando, Florida; Washington, DC; Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA – to name a few.
Herman continues to grow In his craft and set trends in an ever-growing industry. Herman’s work has been featured on major media outlets, album covers, and magazines across the country.
